Neighborhood Organizing by Chapter
|
Blue Action Democrats is organized by chapters. Each chapter encompasses a regional area of voting precincts within that community. Each precinct within a chapter is lead by a Democratic party chair or a lead volunteer, who helps coordinate the block-by-block volunteers who lead voter outreach.
Blue Action Democrat chapters help recruit volunteers and organize the voter education for their communities. Across chapters, we share systems, resources, and best practices, building a ground game that functions year-round, interacting with voters on a continual basis regarding candidates, issues, and voting procedures. This increases engagement and turnout. During the COVID-19 pandemic, voters needed to know about extended voting periods, changed locations, and updated vote-by-mail rules. Blue Action Dems delivered this information to their doorstep, boosting turnout in the chapters where we organized. In this way, Blue Action Democrat chapters become a trusted resource for Democratic voters. |
